ARTISTIC EDIFICE

Over time, buildings have evolved from basic structures to extravagant works of art. Architects from all over have found a way to create beautiful masterpieces such as the Golden Gate Bridge, the Sydney Opera House, and the pyramid structure of the Louvre. The structures of buildings have been plain rectangles and squares. This summer collection represents the manifestation of the lines, angles, and complexity of architecture. The color story consists of black, white, and exciting pops of turquoise and electric purple. The fabrics chosen are silk dupioni, pleated crepe, and thin leather strap pieces. The silk dupioni symbolizes the texture of the structure itself. The pleating detail in the crepe fabric exemplifies the cables that hold the Golden Gate Bridge together. Lastly, the leather straps represent the outlines that help create the structures. The architectural style and playful hues embody the beauty and intricate nature of the garments.

TREKKA

According to the Zulu tribe, as well as many other African tribes, the coloring of the beadwork had specific meanings. In fact, they were arranged in multiple ways in order to convey messages that were woven into different geometrical designs.  Traditionally, some of the beaded pieces that were worn by the females of the tribe helped to differentiate the adolescent girls from the older women. The beadwork that is incorporated in this collection is purely considered an art form. Its main purpose is to add a simple touch of elegance to the pieces, which is sure to enhance the beauty of the wearer. Trekka, a Spring/Summer accessory collection, was designed for clients ages 25- 30 that are always on the go. The collection includes open-toed shoes, handbags, and bracelets adorned with pheasant feathers, African beadwork, leather, and gold. Earth tones and warm hues are used to magnify the tribal beauty that is Trekka.
